Poem: The Twelve Days of Christmas

Here is a holiday poem I wrote in 2009. It is my version of the famous Christmas song “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” My version is humorous only, not serious.

The Twelve Days of Christmas
By Blake Roberts

On the first day of Christmas,
my friend sent to me,
all of the fish in the sea.

On the second day of Christmas,
My friend sent to me,
Two talking watches,
And all of the fish in the sea.

On the third day of Christmas,
My friend sent to me,
Three dress shirts,
Two talking watches,
And all of the fish in the sea.

On the fourth day of Christmas,
My friend sent to me,
Four pizza pies,
Three dress shirts,
Two talking watches,
And all of the fish in the sea.
